Our visit to "A Christmas Story" House

May the joy of Christmas be with you throughout the year!

It all started with a little movie in 1983.
It is now almost 25 years later, and it is forever part of our culture!
Often known as the "YOU'LL SHOOT YOUR EYE OUT" movie.

"Christmas was on it's way! Lovely, Glorious Christmas, around which the entire kid year revolved..."

(yes, bunnies!)

When we saw the news that this house had been purchased & renovated,
and would soon open to the public, we knew we HAD to see it!
It took us a year, but over the 2007 Thanksgiving weekend,
we made plans to visit our friend Norm in Cleveland.
And lucky for us, Norm was game for a whole lot of silly!
THANKS NORM!!!

The House...on Good Old Cleveland Street!

Oh my gosh, we are on the porch!
Check out the mailbox!
Do I spy a Little Orphan Annie Secret Decoder Pin?

It was indeed a lamp...
The snap of a few sparks, a quick whiff of ozone...
and the lamp blazed fourth in unparalled glory!

Before we knew it, the "Little Brother" in George came out
and he "TRIPLE DOG DARED" Lindsey.
The next thing we knew, she was stuck to the flag pole!
